Governor Reserve Bank of India, Shaktikanta Das on Thursday got extension of further three years as the Indian apex monetary institution’s head.
Das, who is an incumbent Governor of RBI has been reappointed to his position for a period of three years by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet.
Shaktikanta Das is a retired IAS officer of 1980 batch of Tamil Nadu cadre. He has also served as India’s Alternate Governor in the World Bank, ADB, NDB & AIIB.
Das has represented India in various international forums like the IMF, G20, BRICS, SAARC, and others.
