To pay the homage to police martyrs, today on 25th October 2021, Doda Police organized programme (MARATHON) ‘Run for Unity’ event for its citizens at 0800 am from DPL Doda to Ganpat Bridge Crossing (about 4Kms) as a part of its ongoing series of events in the honor of Police martyrs. The event was flagged off by the Addl. SP Hqrs Doda Sh. Master Popsy JKPS from DPL which witnessed huge participation of youths both boys & girls besides personnel of CRPF, SSB, IRP5th Bn , District Police and citizens of different age groups. This event “Run For Unity” was categorized into three groups i.e.
- Senior Group ie above 18 yrs of age.
- Junior Boys under 18 yrs of age
- Jonier Girls Under 18 yrs of age
All the winners were rewarded with suitable cash reward by the Chief Guest besides refreshment for all the participants.
SP Operations Doda was the Chief Guest and while speaking on the occasion. SP Ops Doda urged upon the participant youths to channelize their energies in the right direction and contribute in the nation-building. Doda Police is conducting different Sports activities under Sports Festival, 2021 in the loving memory of our brave Police Martyrs for which youths of District Doda are invited to enthusiastically participate in them. Among others to honor the occasion were Sh P N Tikoo (SP) Dy CO. IR 5th Bn as special guest. Sh Shokat Ali JKPS Dy SP DAR Doda, Inspector Ved Parkash of CRPF 76 Bn and Inspr. Arun Sharma SHO PS Doda as guests of honor. The whole event was organized under the supervision of SSP Doda Sh Mumtaz Ahmed JKPS.
