The District Administration Doda held weekly Block Diwas proceedings across the designated places of the district to redress the public grievances and provide varied services.
The entire program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vikas Sharma, besides the DDC also presided over the program at BDO office Bhadarwah.
The teams of Different departments along with the frontline field functionaries delivered varied service to the people and listened to their grievances across the district.
As many as 77 grievances/applications were received during the day long program, all feasible issues were redressed by the officers/officials of respective departments on the spot, besides several services which includes 22 category certificates, 67 Domicile certificates, besides 37 different revenue papers were provided to the people on spot.
At Bhaderwah DDC inspected the service delivery stalls installed by the various departments, enquired about the benefits delivered to the people on spot, besides asked about the grievance recorded and their disposal.
The DDC directed the BDO to ensure that a separate space shall be provided for for lodging of complaints/grievances which shall be monitored from the day of block diwas to another, and to ensure the disposal of the grievances in speedy manner by the concerned departments.
Moreover the DDC asked them to give the wide publicity to the block diwas program through social media and other platforms so that maximum people shall participate, besides asked line departments to give awareness about the schemes to the people for their maximum benefit. He also appealed to PRIs to help in dissaminating various initiatives of the government including “Aap ki zameen Aap Ki Nigrani”, “Yogyata Se Rozgar”, ” Janta ki Scheme Janta ki bhagdari”, “One person one golden card”, “Har ghar Nal se Jal”, “Berozgar se Swarozgar”, “Har Kam Ki Shuruwat”, ” Har Gaon swatch gaon”, and ” Har gaon Haryali, Har Ghar Dastak”.
The DDC also briefed before the participants about the ongoing IEC campaign on Apki Zameen Aapki Nigrani, besides asked the concerned departments to give wide publicity to the campaign so that all the people shall be be made aware about the new initiative of the UT Govt which purely aim at to bring the transparency in the land record information system.
DDC asked the PHE department to ensure that copy of DPR submitted for different areas under JJM shall be give to each panchayat so that people should know what projects are incorporated into the DPR. Later DDC also inspected the awareness cum guidance programme of Anganwadi workers in CDPO ICDS office Bhadarwah. He also inspected the Anganwadi Centres as also Poshan Vatikas. He interacted with the Anganwadi workers and children and appreciated the working of department in Bhaderwah.
