Strikes are now common in JKUT as no tough system had been adopted to curb such kind of strikes, which creates problems for general public without their fault.
It is also an issue, that why these strikes took place at any time & any moment & who is responsible for creation of such strikes should be acted upon with iron hands to have a check on such kind of strikes in near future to ease the public.
Now, one can see that PHE employees/workers are on strike on second consecutive day across Jammu region, the water supply has been badly affected at most of the places.
Pertinent to mention here that PHE daily wagers, consolidated, ITI trained and many other employees are protesting for the last many years, demanding their regularization, release of pending wages and implementation of Minimum Wages Act in the Jammu and Kashmir.
They strongly criticized LG’s Administration for ignoring the pending issues of the workers. They alleged that in November 2020, the Lt Governor had assured PHE delegation in presence of some senior BJP leaders to solve their issues within three months, but unfortunately till today, the issue has remained untouched as as per counting those three months had not ended yet, no doubts raised a pointer towards JKUT administration as a whole?
Their leaders appealed the Lt Governor to address their issues within 15 days, otherwise all the employees would jointly launch indefinite strike across J&K UT, if it happens, no doubts shall be a serious issue.
