Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Police achieved significant success by recovering 31 grams of heroin from three drug peddlers during Naka checking.
During Naka checking, a Police Station Janipur led by SHO Janipur Inspector Nayat Ali rounded up a suspect, who tried to flee on seeing police Naka while coming from Muthi towards Roop Nagar on a bike bearing registration number JK02CD 8313.
On search, 31 grams of heroin was recovered from suspects’ possession, later identified as Arvind alias Ajay Kumar, resident of Chawala, R S Pura; Davinder Singh, resident of Dhok Paloura and Ankit Koul, resident of Jagti, Nagrota.
The three accused were arrested, and a case under NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Janipur. The overall arrest and recovery were made under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
