An unidentified Terrorist was killed in an encounter at Nambal village of Awantipora area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday, officials said.
As per the official twitter handle of Kashmir Zone Police, ”#AwantiporaEncounterUpdate: 01 #terrorist killed. Search going on. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice.” Police said that search operation is on the area.
Earlier Police said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of Terrorist in the area. He said that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, terrorist fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.
