At least four people, including a Sarpanch, suffered injuries after two groups fought over an issue during a Gram Sabah meeting in the Tengpora area in the Nasbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
As per officials, the incident took place after villagers opposed each other’s decisions in the area, following which a scuffle broke out, resulting in the injuries of four people, including the Sarpanch.
They said all the injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital, where Sarpanch, identified as Mehraj Ahmad Rather, had been shifted to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment. Meanwhile, police in this regard have registered a case and started further investigation.
