Continuing its drive against the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which the police team of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, Police Posts Chatha and Chinore acted stringently on specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized eight different vehicles involved in illegal mining.
The seized vehicles include a tipper bearing number JK20 4175, a tipper and a tractor-trolley without registration numbers seized by Jhajjar Kotli Police; one tipper bearing number JK14B 8692, two tractors and one dumper without registration numbers seized by Chatha Police and a tractor bearing temporary number seized by Chinore Police.
SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Devinder Singh, Incharge Police Post Chatha Inspector Rakesh Roshan and Incharge Police Post Chinore PSI Avtar Krishan seized the vehicles in their respective jurisdictions.
