Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation (PEF) to organise winter camps and School Readiness Melas in all 10 zones of District Doda.
Consequent upon the commencement of the Winter Vacations from the second week of December in the Winter Zones of Jammu division, Directorate of School Education, Jammu intended to start winter camps for children of Standard 3rd to 8th in 29 zones of Jammu division with 10 camps per zone from 21st December 2021 to 28th February 2021.
In order to make winter camps more effective, a one day interactive program/ Orientation of Master Trainers (MTs), Resource Persons (RPs) and subject teachers was organized under the able guidance of Worthy CEO Doda, Prahlad Bhagat, and DEPO Doda Mohd Ayaz Mughal.
The inaugural session was started with the introductory speech of DEPO Doda followed by the speech of DRG Sohail Wani and SRG Pratham Sandeep Rajput.
These winter camps shall be open to children of all government, Private and out of School Children from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Pratham Education Foundation shall depute State Resource Groups (SRGs)’ District Resource leaders (DRLs) and Block Resource Leaders (BRLs) to actively coordinate with teachers to monitor various activities. Parents/Teachers Meeting as “Talimi Mulaqat” shall be conducted weekly to elicit the response of the community regarding camps and share the achievement levels of children with them.
An exhibition of the models prepared by the children during the camps shall also be held at the end of the camps at Zonal, District and Divisional level. Best selected models will be selected and the winning children shall be honoured with Medals, Trophies and Participation certificates for encouragement .
Besides winter camps School Readiness Mela shall also be conducted with the help of Community Volunteers/PRIs and Pratham Education Foundation.
The School Readiness Mela shall be open for all government, Private and Out of School children who are studying in standard 1&2 along with their mothers. The Mela will be organized for maximum 2 days in each School from 11:00 AM
to 3:00 PM.
The team members who oriented MTs & RPs includes Sandeep Rajput Pankaj Sharma, Mohd Rafi, Aneis Ahmed and Rajeel Kumar.

The program was concluded with the formal vote of thanks by Sajad Hussain Malik District President JKTJAC.
