Considered to be one of the greatest batters in cricket history, Brian Lara’s presence has always left everyone in awe. So when Ravindra Jadeja caught up with the West Indies legend during India’s 2nd ODI at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, the all-rounder also had a fan moment as he posted a photo with Lara on Instagram and called him a ‘Legend’.
Meanwhile, Jadeja’s Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took a screenshot of Jadeja’s Instagram story and posted it on Twitter with an epic caption, which read, “”Big fan of your work” #WhistlePodu #Yellove @imjadeja”.
Despite the photo consisting of a legendary cricket and a current world-class player, it wasn’t well-received by fans, with many lashing out at Jadeja. The player is also reportedly going through a rift with the franchise.
One fan wrote, “Guys pls don’t post related to him I know as a admin ur love for ur franchise but it is not good seeing this guy who doesn’t value our team.He is already ready for a new teamDont ask that what if he deletes posts he will be here so what’s the point of deleting his memories/posts”.
“When you cant ask jadeja for real photo because of rift, then you just take the ss of his story and crop it then post it. Welcome @ChennaiIPL”, another added.
Another fan said, “But jaddu didn’t like the post or in future also he will not like thus post.”
Jadeja is currently nursing a knee injury and didn’t feature in the first and second ODIs. Team India secured a series-clinching 2-0 victory in the second ODI, narrowly winning by two wickets as Axar Patel played a match-winning knock of 64 runs off 35 balls. Meanwhile, the visitors won the first ODI by three runs as Shikhar Dhawan hammered 97 runs off 99 balls.
