Reports said that Terrorist fired in the neck of the Inspector Sheikh Firdous when he was returning from the mosque after evening prayers.
A police inspector with Anti-Corruption Bureau was shot and injured by terrorist in Batmaloo area of Srinagar on Monday evening.

He was subsequently removed to hospital for treatment, an official said
