Chowki Choura and Manwal Police foiled bovines smuggling bid and arrested three persons.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Poct Chowki Choura led by Inspector Ankuj Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra bolero pickup bearing registration number JK20A-1006.
During checking, police team rescued 4 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Hamid Mohammad, son of Hussain of Trutta Palla, Sungal and Khem Hussain, son of Lal Din of Jammu
.
A case under FIR Number 319/2021 under Sections 88 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation set into motion.
The arrest and seizure were made under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Azhar, SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Manwal led by PSI Ayub Khan under the supervision of SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Devinder Singh laid a naka and arrested a man along with three bovines, which he was smuggling by foot.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
