The Red Ribbon Club GDC Chatroo observed the World AIDS Day which is observed on 1st December every year with full fervour and zeal under strict SOPs of COVID 19.
The main function was organised in the examination hall under the patronage of Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi Principal GDC Chatroo.
The programme started with a welcome address and introduction by Prof. Waseem Rasheed Nodal officer Red Ribbon Club and the lecture on “Know AIDS for No AIDS” was delivered by Prof Ajeet Kumar.
In his speech, Prof. Waseem Rasheed discussed different aspects of AIDS and urged the students to disseminate the knowledge of this fatal disease among the common masses. Prof Ajeet Kumar elaborately discussed the various modes of transmission and preventive measures of AIDS.
In the technical session, questions were responded by the experts.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr Jamsheed Ahmad.
The faculty members who graced the occasion are Dr Ashaq Hussain, Prof Chander Prakash, Dr J V Manhas, Dr Jaswant Singh, Dr Muddassar Nazar and Dr Shabir Ahmed.
Around thirty students and non-teaching staff were also present on the occasion.
