The Jammu and Kashmir Police Wednesday claimed to have killed three terrorist in a gunfight at Rambagh area of Srinagar.
A police officer told local news agency that following the inputs about presence of terrorist , a joint operation was launched by forces in Rambagh. The police official said as the search parties were zeroing in on the suspected location, the hiding terrorist opened fire at the forces that retaliated, triggering a gunfight. ‘Three unidentified terrorist have been killed in the brief shootout, Identity of the militants is being ascertained,” the officer said.
In a tweet, Kashmir Police Zone said, Police #neutralised 03 #terrorists in #Srinagar. Identification & affliation of the killed terrorists is being ascertained. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice.”
