Medical Superintendent at DH Ramban Dr AH Zargar said that 12 of the injured are undergoing treatment there.
A man died while many others including children were injured after a taxi cab they were on board skidded off the road and plunged into several hundred metres deep gorge in Digdole area of J&K’s Ramban district on the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Saturday morning.
An official while confirming the death of the male passenger, told Greater Kashmir that several injured have been shifted to District Hospital Ramban for treatment. The identity of the dead or the injured was not immediately known.
Local sources told Greater Kashmir that the cab was spotted by a CRPF Batallion after which the troopers swung into action and started a rescue operation. They were later joined by local police, Army and civil rescuers and retrieved the body while shifting the injured to the hospital.

The cab has been completely wrecked in the accident and many children are said to have been in it when the accident took place.
