Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today convened a meeting of all the concerned district to review the arrangements for Urs of Shah Asrar-Ud-Din Sahib (RA) scheduled for November 10, 2021.
During the meeting the chair reviewed the arrangements i,e. accommodation, uninterrupted power supply/water supply, fire wood, ration, LPG, Sanitation,Security, Medical care, transportation,fire tender,and overall traffic management and passed a slew of direction to the concerned.
DC directed XEN PHE Division Kishtwar to ensure availability of sufficient drinking water for devotees/Ziareens at the shrines of Astan Bala, Astan Pani and other places w.e.f 08-11-2021 to 11-11-2021 besides to make available the water tankers to said places.
CEO KDA and EO Municipality were also directed to ensure repair and replacement of the non-functional street lights and high mask lights in the town and the adjoining areas of the shrines and in the chowgan ground for hassle free movement of devotees, besides ensuring proper cleanliness of both the shrines and lime lining of the roads leading to the shrines.
Further, ARTO,DTI,SHO and manager bus stand were directed to devise a proper transport plan viz. arrangement of additional buses for smooth to and fro movement of pilgrims, management of Traffic and Parking of vehicles. It was also revealed that for commercial vehicles ITI Ground and FCI godown premises have been identified for parking.
XEN JPDCL Kishtwar was directed to ensure un-interrupted Power Supply at both the shrines and places of stay of Ziareens.
The DC also directed CMO and MS District Hospital Kishtwar for establishing first aid camp and hence ensuring basic medical facilities at both the shrines besides directed that face mask and sanitizers shall be made available at both the places.
Various other arrangements were also discussed in the meeting which includes temporary toilets, parking facility of passenger vehicles and establishment of control room.
It was also given out in the meeting that ACR Kishtwar shall be nodal officers for implementation of decisions and directions.
SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Butt,ACR Kishtwar Akhter Hussain Qazi,tehsildar (HQ) Chander shekhar sharma besides other concerned district and sectoral officers and Administrator Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar, besides prominent citizens also attended the meeting.
