Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is rumoured to launch on January 11, 2022.
This Samsung smartphone has undergone many tribulations. From leaks to delays, it has suffered from everything and there is no clarity on its official status so far. However, rumours surrounding it refuse to die down and it keeps hitting the spotlight time and again. The same has happened yet again and notably, this time too, there is nothing official about it.
Samsung had announced the ‘Unpacked part 2’ event for October 20, adding its own contribution to what was already shaping up to be a pretty big week in terms of tech announcements – with Apple and Google also hosting their own special events.
Samsung was planning to finally make the Galaxy S21 FE official, a phone that’s suffered from leaks many times and then was rumoured to have been delayed multiple times because of the chip shortage, as per GSM Arena.
However, mass production for the Galaxy S21 FE was apparently pushed to begin in December, so Samsung obviously can’t announce a phone that it doesn’t even plan on producing for a couple of months.
Multiple sources have converged on January being the month of the unveiling, with one of them even mentioning a specific date: mark your calendars for January 11.
Also, if the Galaxy S21 FE does launch in January, perhaps an earlier rumour saying that the Galaxy S22 family’s announcement would be pushed to February to not instantly take the spotlight away from the S21 FE might make even more sense than it did before.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is said to come equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There are no curved edges on this device. As per the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and China’s 3C certification websites, the Galaxy S21 FE will have support for 25W fast charging. The smartphone was also spotted on Geekbench, which revealed the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It could be paired with 8GB of RAM.
