India reported 91 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, according to data from the Union health ministry, while the total number of active cases remained at 1,817. The COVID-19 caseload increased by the new cases to 4.46 crore (4,46,83,454). The numbers revised at 8 am indicated the dead toll at 5,30,745.
The weekly positivity rate was 0.08 percent, while the daily positivity rate of 0.14 percent. The active cases account for 0.01 percent of total infections. According to the health ministry website, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.81%.
The number of patients who have recovered from the infection has increased to 4,41,50,892, and the case fatality rate is now 1.19 percent.
On the ministry’s website, it is stated that the nationwide vaccination campaign has so far administered 220.57 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 tally surpassed 20 lakh, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16. On September 28, it surpassed 60 lakh, on October 11, it crossed 80 lakh, on October 29, it surpassed 90 lakh, on November 20, and on December 19 it surpassed 1 crore.
India crossed the 2 crore mark on May 4, 2021, 3 crore on June 23, and 4 crore on January 25, last year.
