India Post organized various programs during the annual national postal week from 9 th Oct to 13 th Oct 2022.
During this period activities were organized like Vittiya Sashktikarn diwas, Philately day, Mail & Parcel day etc. Today on Antodaya Diwas, a panel discussion is held on various services offered by the IPPB, India Post Payment Bank at The Zone by the Park hotel Jammu followed by a general meeting for its all stake holders.
The officers of various Department of respective state government dealing with the matters/schemes related to the up liftment of poor, marginalized and backward sections of the society participated.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Col Vinod Kumar Postmaster General Jammu who welcomed the participants in the panel discussion and briefed the participants about the many facilities for the financial inclusions of the unprivileged deprived sections of society.
He explained that Antodaya Diwas is meant to include the poorest of poor person in the main economic stream of country through financial inclusion.
Shri Rizwan uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner said that India post is having legacy of hard work and it should ensure more publicity to their various schemes.
Ms Aarushi Dy Director, Press Information Bureau Jammu stated that through its large network of post offices across the country, India Post is playing vital role in development of india by providing basic mail and financial services including insurance facility even in remote areas.
Shri Anil and Mr Vikas Manager IPPB narrated the special campaigns and melas which have been organised in Jammu and nearby locations. Col Vinod Kumar intimated that many villages in Jammu region have been coverd by Postal life Insurance and Sukanya Samridhi Yojna during this national postal week.
He also informed the robust monitoring system of postal setup and grievance settlement mechanism. He informed that now the whole country has got connected through vast network of RTN (Road Transport Network) through which factory owners, manufactureres and business houses can send their -2- consignments across the country.
Recently, this RTN service has been started between Jammu to Srinagar and Srinagar to Leh and vice verca. RTN between Jammu to Delhi is already functional.
This means Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh UT have direct connectivity for delhi as well as other cities of country.
Ms Mamta, Representative of Regional Passport Office also expressed satisfaction about the services of India Post especially speed post through which RPO is despatching their passports to the applicants, she also added that India Post is providing the best services by delivering important documents to the citizens.
Mr Sajid Industrial promotion officer from District industries center added that there are plenty of appreciations for department of post because of its sincere services.
During the other session of all stake holders Col Vinod Kumar intimated India Post is serving citizens with better than the best services with the help of advancements of technology and each service is being monitored at each stage.
He intimated all stake holders about especailly parcel & logistic services and requested them to avail for enhancement of their customer base and preogress of their business.
Ms Gursimran performed anchoring duties very well during the course of program, which is organised by SSPOs Jammu Division of postal department.
Majority of the bulk customers were happy with the services of the India Post and appreciated for its contribution to the progress of society.
At the end of the meeting Shri Rattan Lal Supdt of Railway Mail Service, Jammu presented vote of thanks to all stake holders.
