Jammu: Traders have supported the proposed Jammu Bandh of 29 August by the advocates. All business establishments in the city will remain closed under the banner of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On Saturday, in a meeting of Chamber officials with Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar and ADGP Mukesh Singh, they announced their support for the strike of advocates if no solution was found.
It was said that representatives of advocates were also invited in the meeting, but they were not invited by the administration.
A separate meeting was also held with the advocates of the Chamber in the evening.Chamber president Arun Gupta said that in the form of mediation, an attempt was made to get the matter resolved by holding talks between the administration and the advocates.
But the advocates were not invited to the meeting held with the administration. Due to this, both parties could not talk. Businessmen are standing with the advocates, so the city’s businessmen will contribute in the Jammu Bandh.
In another meeting held with the advocates in the evening, it was said to take the matter to the Chief Justice. But till the end, no solution was found. Thereafter, the traders decided to support the Bandh.
The Jammu and Kashmir Transporters Association has not supported the proposed Jammu Bandh of the Bar Association on August 29.
Therefore, Matador, buses and autos will run regularly in Jammu on Monday. On Saturday, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Transporter Association President Sardar Ajit Singh, in which the Presidents of Bus, Mini Bus, Auto Rickshaw and Taxi Association participated. Ajit Singh refused to support the Jammu Bandh.
