A woman from Pakistan along with two others, were arrested by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Indo-Nepal border for allegedly entering the country without valid documents on Monday evening.
She, along with two men from Nepal and India were arrested from Bitthamore border out post falling under Bihar’s Sitamarhi district when they were entering Indian Territory from Nepal without valid documents.
The arrested woman has been identified as Khadija Noor (24), a native of Faislabad in Pakistan, said Sitamarhi SP Harkishore Rai on Tuesday.
All the three were detained from the SSB’s border out post last evening when they were trying to entering the Indian Territory on foot. When Khadija failed to give convincing emough reply for not carrying a valid visa, SSB handed over the three to the nearby Sursand police station for questioning.
“Khadija claims to be a Psychology student and was coming to Nepal on a tourist visa. She claims to have reached Kathmandu via Dubai by flight,” said an SSB official, adding that the tourist visa was issued on July 29 from Nepal Embassy situated on Islamabad. The tourist visa is valid for 30 days. The passport carries stamps of Dubai and Kathmandu. SSB said that the Pakistan Embassy in Delhi has been intimated about her arrest.
“Investigation in this connection is still underway. A joint team of central agency as well as Bihar police jointly interrogating them,” said Harkishore.
SSB has recovered a Pakistani passport, Aadhaar card issued on the name of one Aaarzoo Baghadiya from Telangana, Immunisation certificate for Covid-19 issued by Pakistan health department, identification card issued from GC Women University (Faislabad) and other documents from her bag.
