Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended Block Medical Officer (BMO), Surankote and Medical Officer (NHM) for unauthorized absent from duty.
An order issued by the Health and Medical Education department under number 495-JK(HME) read, “Pending enquiry into the matter, sanction is hereby accorded to the suspension of Dr Mohd Anwar, Block Medical Officer, SDH Surankote and Dr Ishtiaq Malik, Medical Officer, NHM, SDH Surankote for remaining unauthorizedly absent from duties on July 10, 2022”.
Action was taken by the Government on the recommendation of the Deputy Commissioner, as one patient died in Surankote hospital as the concerned Medical staff was not available to attend the patient.
