Three days long Athletics based Sports Carnival is started from 09th Jun 2022,which is being planned for the people of higher reaches of Zaingair region, Sopore, Baramulla & Bandipura District. The first of its kind Sports Mega event is being organized based on athletic competition to rejuvenate the Sports Culture of Sopore region. The entire sports event will be conducted at Pethabug Sports ground, Warpura by Zaingair Youth & Sports Association under the stewardship of Army Camp, Sopore.Zaingair Youth Sports Carnival is being organised with an aim to boost sports culture in the region and revitalize rural games. The Zaingair Sports Carnival will set a benchmark in true sense of a word wherein 10 x sports & 28 youth association will come together to make this carnival a historic moment. The carnival was inaugurated by DC, Baramulla and the opening ceremony was held with lighting of Baton, cutting of ribbon and a motivational speech given by DC, Baramulla. Thereafter, the carnival was kicked off by the heats of track events, volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi knockouts and also a martial art display by Shah-i-Hamdan, Sports Academy. After completion of round of sport carnival by the DC a group photograph was clicked with all dignitaries and remaining qualifiers matches were conducted as per fixtures.
