Ramban. CISF personnel posted at Baglihar Hydro Electric Project (BHEP) Chandrakot opened fire on the comrades. The head constable was injured in the incident, who was admitted to the district hospital. At the same time, the gun was snatched from the accused personnel and handed over to the police.
According to police sources, CISF Inspector Suraj Kumar has lodged a complaint at Police Station Chandrakot. According to the complaint, constable Danesh Malha opened fire with a service rifle AK-47 with the intention of killing the other jawans present at the briefing. Head constable Surinder Kumar was injured in this. Other soldiers snatched the gun from the accused in time, due to which a major accident was averted. The accused constable has been arrested. A case under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC has been registered against the constable who opened fire on the accomplices.
