As expected and reported earlier, it is final that India’s all-format captain Virat Kohli will soon quit ODI and T20 captaincy. Kohli will quit as India’s white-ball captain right after the T20 World Cup and IPL’s most successful skipper Rohit Sharma will take over the mantle. However, on Monday, BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal rubbished the reports.
Arun Dhumal said Virat Kohli will remain captain in all three formats and there was no meeting that discussed the captaincy options at length.
Rohit who will be seen in action in IPL 2021 leading Mumbai Indians in UAE will take over as captain of India’s white-ball team right after the T20 World Cup.
