Police in Srinagar have arrested three persons for illegal transportation of construction material in Green Belt area.
In a statement issued to media, the police spokesperson said that a police party of PS Nishat during checking at a checkpoint intercepted three vehicles (Tippers) bearing registration numbers JK04A-8636, JK01AN-0588 and JK01AM-9684 carrying construction materials without proper permission.
” The vehicles have been seized and the drivers identified as Ishfaq Ahmad resident of Gusso Hazratbal, Shabir Ahmad & Feroz Ahmad both residents of Brein Nishat have been arrested,” he said. It is pertinent to mention that the Nishat area falls under greenbelt/notified area.
