District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today visited bus stand Doda in order to review the implementation of the decongestion measures, besides also assessed the design which have been drafted for the construction of the multi level car parking.
While assessing the design of the project for the construction of multi level parking at Bus stand Doda, the DDC considering the concern of the Councillors of MC Doda, directed all the concerned authorities including EO MC, Transport department, executing agencies to draft a fresh layout in coordination with the MC representatives in the next seven days so that all the issues raised shall be logically resolved for the hassle free execution of the work in the upcoming time.
Moreover the DDC directed the ARTO to issue the notification with regard to paid parking across the town which had been already identified so that locals having vehicles living adjoining to those paid parking spaces shall park their vehicles there only, besides asked to shift the auto rickshaws as per the roster to different locations so that unnecessary jamming shall be avoided.
Further EO apprised the DDC that all the unlicensed rehris have been removed from the bus stand and adjoining places, besides DDC directed the EO to earmark the location to the licensed rehris in the vicinity to reduce the jamming and inconvenience to the general public.
In addition to this the DDC directed the EO MC to ensure that no body shall be allowed to sell any kind of the goods at the foot paths which is also a great cause of the nuisance across the town especially in the market area.
The DDC was accompanied by President MC Doda,VP MC Doda, Councillors, ARTO Doda, Ex En PWD, EO MC Doda, Naib Tehsildar Doda, SHO Doda, besides other officials of different departments.
