Two IPS Officers Vivek Gupta , Chandan Kohli are among four from J&K, who received Union Home Minister’s Special Operation Medal for year 2022.
As per details with News Agency, Vivek Gupta , IPS , Chandan Kohli IPS, Sachit Sharma DySP and Vicky Kumar SgCt of J&K Police received Medal for operation that took place in Jammu on 22nd April earlier this year.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Team was attacked by Terrorists at Sunjwan in Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of April 22.
A CISF officer was martyred and two Terrorists were killed, while four security personnel were injured in the attack.
Police later arrested Persons in connection with the attack and played a key role in keeping situation under control.
